With all the shops in the country allowed to open with conditions, the states will take the final decision


The Home Ministry has allowed the opening of all types of shops late at night to boost it as the lockdown in the Corona crisis has paralyzed the entire country and the economy.  The Home Ministry order said the shops could be opened by adhering to 50 per cent staff and guidelines.  The final decision on opening the shops will be taken by the state government.




The central government has extended the nationwide lockdown till May 3.  Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has issued a major order.  As per the information received, all the shops in the country have been allowed to open with conditions from today.  Only 50 per cent of the staff will be able to work in the shops.

 However, shopping complexes and malls have not been allowed to open yet.  It is hoped that business activities in the country will pick up speed from today.  Due to the lockdown, all kinds of establishments were closed and only necessities of life such as vegetable, fruit, medicine and grocery stores were allowed to open. Central government allows shops to remain open with 50% capacity, safety and social distance must be complied with, announced late last night






Malls and shopping complexes will not open


 As per the order of the Central Government, the rule will not apply to shops in market complexes, malls, single brand and multi brand malls within the limits of the corporation, i.e. these shops are not allowed to open.





Shops cannot be opened in these areas


 The government said no shops or businesses should be set up in areas where hotspots and containers have been declared.  In the current situation, shops will be closed in all such places.




These rules have to be followed


 As per the order of the government, shops and stand-alone shops have been allowed to be opened next to the housing colonies which fall within the limits of the municipality and the corporation.  All shops must be registered under the Shop Establishment as per the conditions.  The shops should have only 50 per cent staff.  Those who open their shops as per the order will have to make all arrangements for their staff including masks and gloves.  In addition, social distance must be strictly adhered to.
